EcoStyle

My friends and I at University of Alberta created a student group last October (2011) called EcoStyle where we promote fashion sustainability. This has been a super hot topic lately and we wanted to help make more students and the world more aware of this. We paired up with GoodWill and have so far put on two fashion shows and one being with Western Canada Fashion Week. We pull clothes from GoodWill and make unique outfits to show people that there are so many ways of using pieces of clothing to create different looks. This whole group is based on the 3 R's-- Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce. This coming Fall will be our second year with the group and we hope to make it even bigger. We were nominated as top 15 student groups in all Canada and want to climb up that ladder but more importantly, help others realize that using the 3 R's will help out our community, whether it be members of the community or reducing production costs and waste. We are hoping to be featured in the next upcoming Western Canada Fashion Week but we are trying to think of an awesome theme for the line. Does anyone have any ideas as to what we should do!?
